The mayor of Beit Shemesh, Dr. Aliza Bloch, the director of the Orthodox district, Ms. Ruth Elmaleh, and the director of education, youth, and community in the municipality of Beit Shemesh, Ms. Sari Dror, celebrated the opening of the school year for Orthodox girls. The Ashira Haredi School, which is just opening this year, is run by Ms. Bichta Oren. The new orthodox public school already has a lot of new students, including many students that immigrated from the United States.

Mayor Dr. Aliza Bloch: “It is very exciting to open another educational institution in the city and especially of the current type. This is the fourth school opened for the variety of communities in the city out of a desire to increase the number of classes in the future. A lot of work has been invested to ensure the opening of the institution. I would like to thank the head of the education director, Sheri Dror, for her work on the project. I would like to wish all the students and staff that this institution will become a home of education for everyone who attends the Orthodox public school, and I wish for everyone that they will continue to rise higher and higher in their work.”
